Make a list of your major life moments. Significant points in time or events that changed the course of your life. Things like deaths, births, moves, marriages, big achievements, or devastating failures. Put a checkmark next to the ones for which you had a ceremony to highlight its significance. Next, put a heart next to the ones you wish someone had held a ceremony for. Then, circle the most life changing event. Take a moment to write down the change you underwent at that time. Describe who you were before, and after that moment. What wisdom did you gain and you still carry with you today? Who are you grateful for from that time and why? For added bonus sparkle points, if that person is still alive, reach out to them and share this gratitude with them. Please remember, wonderful human, that it's never too late to have a ceremony for an important life moment- even if it was in the distant past. You can also start to look ahead at what will be happening in the near future, and begin thinking about what type of ceremony you'd like to hold for yourself. * Photo by Estée Janssens on Unsplash |
