![]() This is for the sensitive ones, the misfits, the black-sheep, the outsiders… For every time you were laughed at, eye-rolled, “whatever’d,” belittled, ignored, or made to feel less-than, just because you felt deeply for a wild creature, wept at beauty, listened to your intuition, or expressed selfless compassion, I want you to know.. -> click to continue reading It’s not you, it’s them.
☝️Read that again. You are not too sensitive. There is nothing wrong with you. Everything is right with you. YOU have just the right amount of sensitivity. WE have just the right amount of sensitivity. We are equipped with the essential tenderness and vision to plug into the magic of the planet. The Earth has been growing and tending souls like ours since the beginning. At first we were celebrated for our important place in the tribe. Then, as culture moved away from its connection with the land, we were exiled or burned for being ‘different’ and ‘radical.’ Because they fear us. They fear our power. They fear our lack of compliance. They fear our connection. The greater the distance we were forced from the land, the greater we mourned and suffered the pain of that separation. But no more. That time is over. No longer will we suppress our true nature. Hide our tears. Stuff our joy. Pretend we don’t need help, or rest, or support, or healing. No more silencing our idealistic dreams, hope, and desires. The land needs us. WE need us. On the other side of this reconnection is our wholeness. Peace. The deep juicy satisfaction of a purposeful life. Sometimes the reconnection is not pretty. But help is right here to get you through the itchy and uncomfortable parts of healing. And I promise, it’s a worthy cause. YOU are a worthy cause. YOU are worthy. Should you ever feel alone, know there are others out there searching for you. Go outside and find comfort in the fact that you are all standing on the same planet, under the same sky. Close your eyes and feel me squeeze your hand and hear me whisper “I see you.” Photo by Trent Haaland on Unsplash |
